  • The Environment Agency will ONLY accept a minimum of 30 fish for examination

  • At least 10 fish of each species must be examined but if the fish sample is comprised of mixed species

  • A minimum of 5 from each size category to be moved must be examined e.g. if all three sizes of carp being moved there must be at least 5 fish from each size category so a minimum of 15 carp must be provided, plus a further 15 fish, either carp or other species to give the 30 fish sample.  If all three sizes of carp and two other fish species are to be moved the total sample size is 35 fish.
